Shipping policy
CHORRA ships stock orders, live-claim orders, specially sourced goods, small-wholesale orders, and custom or OEM/ODM orders internationally. Shipping method, price, preparation time, and delivery estimate depend on the order and destination.
1. Processing, Sourcing, and Production Time
The estimated processing, sourcing, or production time will be stated in the written confirmation, quotation, or invoice. Stock, specially sourced, sampled, and custom orders have different lead times. The timeline normally begins after required payment, specifications, and approvals are complete.
2. Shipping Estimates and Delays
Shipping and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing. We use reasonable care when providing estimates. If we learn that we cannot ship within the promised time or a legally required period, we will notify the customer and, where required, request consent to the delay or offer cancellation and refund for the unshipped goods.
3. Shipping Methods
Available methods may include express courier, postal service, air freight, sea freight, consolidated cargo, local forwarder delivery, or another agreed method. The method stated in the confirmed order controls.
4. Shipping Charges
Unless expressly included, shipping, insurance, remote-area surcharges, customs brokerage, handling, storage, and destination delivery are additional. The final shipping charge may be confirmed after packing dimensions, weight, address, and service level are known.
5. Duties, Taxes, and Customs
Import duty, VAT, sales tax, customs charges, brokerage fees, permits, product registration, and destination-country compliance costs are the customer’s responsibility unless CHORRA agrees otherwise in writing. The customer must provide accurate customs, tax, recipient, and clearance information.
6. Address and Contact Information
Review the recipient name, company, phone number, email, address, postal code, tax number, and customs information before dispatch. Additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete information may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.
7. Customer-Nominated Freight Forwarder
If a business customer asks CHORRA to deliver goods to its nominated freight forwarder, warehouse, consolidator, or carrier, delivery to that party may complete CHORRA’s delivery obligation and transfer risk if the written order terms so provide. CHORRA remains responsible for damage or error occurring before that handover.
8. Consumer Delivery Risk
Where mandatory consumer law applies, risk remains with CHORRA until the goods are delivered to the consumer or a person designated by the consumer, except where the consumer independently appoints a carrier not offered by CHORRA and the law provides otherwise.
9. Tracking and Delivery
Tracking or freight documents will be provided when available. Tracking activation may be delayed after dispatch. The customer should monitor the shipment and respond promptly to carrier or customs requests.
10. Visible Damage, Tampering, or Shortage
When visible damage or tampering exists, photograph or video the package before and during opening, retain all packaging, and contact CHORRA promptly. Carrier claims often require fast notice; reporting within 48 hours is strongly recommended and does not reduce longer mandatory rights.
11. Lost or Delayed Shipments
Contact us if tracking stops or the shipment cannot be located. We will reasonably assist with a carrier investigation. Replacement, refund, credit, or another remedy will depend on mandatory law, the selected shipping service, insurance, carrier findings, agreed risk terms, and the facts of the order.
12. Refused, Unclaimed, or Undeliverable Shipments
If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, returned because of unpaid duties, or undeliverable because of incorrect customer information, the customer may be responsible for return freight, storage, customs, and reshipping costs where permitted by law. Any refund will be calculated after lawful deductions and inspection.
13. Split Shipments
CHORRA may propose split shipment where some items are ready earlier. Additional cost or a material change to the agreed shipment method requires customer approval unless the confirmed order already permits split delivery.
14. Force Majeure
CHORRA is not responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, epidemic, government action, customs inspection, port congestion, carrier disruption, strikes, supplier shutdowns, or network failures. We will communicate material delays and comply with non-waivable cancellation and refund obligations.
